'The Lion of Judah and His Bride: The Lioness and her King"
I was doing a bible study by Lisa Bevere, called Lioness Arise when this piece was birthed. How in nature the Lion and the Lioness work together in all they do. They DESIRE to be together and each needs the other! as the Lioness leans into her king strength and purpose arises. The Lioness arises and confidently walks out her destiny and purpose while leaning into her beloved! As I painted this piece there were many times I felt like the Lion of Judah literally had His chin on my shoulder watching as I painted totally enjoying being with me!!
Lions Call
The verse that stirred in my heart even before I began this piece or even knew exactly where it would go, is Hosea 11:10-11. A ROAR ~~ A CALLING being released into the ground creating a trembling. Informing all around that THE KING has arrived He is in the field sending forth a call that vibrates into the very ground.
As I asked the Lord for that first layer of the piece what I felt was ‘PROMISE”~~ A light beaming with the full spectrum of colors. When I begin a piece I consecrate it to the Lord for His purposes and plans. I wash the white canvas with water as I pray.
Then I begin to lay in the first colors of the foundation of the piece. As I painted this piece I found myself continually putting more and more water on the canvas, creating rain all over the canvas exposing the colors under
the new layers of color. I had my Speakers turned up as worship music played and I sang and prayed as I painted. My new studio was slowly being covered with “rain drops” of color that splattered from this huge beautiful piece that was coming to life. I stood back and was drawn into the layers of light. I knew The Lion of Judah was already there I just had not discovered Him yet! I spent several days just looking into the piece and asking Holy Spirit to show me the Lion. THEN one day as I looked I began to see Him in the colors. His face had already been put in I just needed to pull it into view. I LOVE painting with Holy Spirit!!! He amazes me everytime I slow down and go at His pace and not try to force something in a piece.
I had wanted to paint an opened mouth ROARING Lion and Holy Spirit showed me,
NO! This Lion of Judah is “CALLING”!

“As I stared at a blank canvas I felt the warmth of a “GAZE” watching me! It was one of those that causes you to take a deep breath and relax and tremble all at the same time.
I began to prime the 30x40 canvas in black still not sure what was going on the canvas......... I began working on another piece and had some extra blue paint. I took my largest pallet knife picked up the paint. I felt like I had a sword in my had and I swiped it across this black surface.
Some how in that move I suddenly knew this piece was special! I began to realize it was HOPE about to be portrayed “The Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Rev. 5:5 and Isaiah 11:2 portrayed on canvas.” His face glows with LIGHT reflecting every angle of His features! His face is painted almost entirely in metallic paints. The light moves as you step around the piece. His eyes watch your steps releasing HOPE....
I LOVE THIS PIECE!!!
When you stand in front of this 4ft by 4ft piece it's like you can feel the tossing of His mane in the beat with the worship that surrounds the throne in heaven!! We get to hear and feel the beat of his magnificent heart!!!
This truly IS one of my favorites!! I have a new grandbaby and "ADORATION and DELIGHT " is her painting. I LOVE how when you stand in front of this painting it's like you can feel not only the tossing of His mane but also this sweet fragrance begins to arise!!! I am soooo excited to meet this little one!!! The Lords given me paintings for each of my grandbabies and they each capture their personalities. I LOVE HOW GOD has DONE THAT! He is sooooo much fun to paint with!! ENJOY!!!

This piece was inspired as I listened to Misty Edward sing of the Rhythm of the Lion of The Tribe of Judah...... I could hear the pounding of His feet in my spirit!! He is longing for Us to TRULY KNOW HIM and all the false teachings of Him exposed so we can KNOW Him!! He is contending
for our hearts and is longing to rescue each of us from those things that hinder our ability to receive His love! Here is the verse of this song that rang in my heart!:

The summer of 2014 I had the JOY of getting to go to Heidi Bakers IRIS base in Mozambique!!
GOD ABSOLUTLY AMAZED me as I watched and experienced
His JOY,
His PROVISION,
His COMPASSION.
His GENTLENESS,
His UNFAILING LOVE in the midst of what we westerners would view as devastation, hopelessness and poverty..
As I ponder and experienced all these things I began to see in my sanctified imagination this LION that carried JOY ! His mane looked, moved and sounded like the adorned dreadlocks of the people of this place!
I began to paint…………
THIS BEAUTIFUL OUT OF THE BOX IMAGE OF THE LION OF JUDAH. THE ONE THAT IN REVELATION JOHN WRITES WHAT HE HEARD AND SAW AS THE LION OF JUDAH CAME ON THE SCENE:
“DO NOT WEEP!! THE LION OF JUDAH HAS TRIUMPHED!”
